Most people recognize today as Cinco de Mayo – the oft misunderstood holiday where Americans get to go drink tequila pretending to celebrate Mexican Independence day. (Although Mexican Independence day isn’t actually until September 17)
Here at HALC we choose instead to recognize May 5th for something else. Karl Marx’s birthday.
With the state of the country and the direction of the Obama administration, it would be imprudent to ignore the man who, arguably made all this possible.
So instead of going out to some Mexican Restaurant tonight, come join us at Saute around 7:00p to gather around the light of Liberty and Capitalism and de-celebrate the birth of Karl Marx!
