Apparently, Gene Green’s idealogy and popularity, post-Obama care Town Hall Meeting, isn’t what he had thought it was. The greatest majority of people showing up to Town Hall meetings in the last few days where he was the featured representative were not in favor of Representative Green’s stance on Obama’s health care plan and “cap and trade.”
A few reviews on the Lone Star Times Online showed, for the most part, the tremendous opposition to the socialized medicine and “cap and trade” that our elected officials are trying to force upon this nation and lack of support for Audit the Fed.
The proponents of this garbage legislation are out in force, though. They have a counter-counter-attack for us, just waiting, to counter-protest the protesters: HCAN Playbook For Thwarting Town Hall Protesters.
This link will help you find “liberty hater” group events for us to maybe crash or observe by typing in a ZIP code or a city (up near top right of page, I only used a ZIP near me & no email addy!).
The liberty haters have a “Statement Of Common Purpose.” [Hmmm, I wonder....]
They also have *pdf or *.xls lists of their “Campaign Membership – Total 1086 organizations, National Organizations (150).”
Here is a link for Houston-area liberty-hating town hall attendees, who are organizing phone banks, sit-ins, etc., to assure that their “message” of ‘conform or else’ is met…
They’ve even had AARP representatives walk out of these town hall meetings when the AARP representatives could not steer the meeting back where they wanted it to go or shush the audience into sheepish compliance. Lonestartimes.com states, “Not only are politicians hearing from the people on Health Care Reform, so is the American Association Of Retired Persons (AARP). Last Tuesday in Dallas, AARP held a forum and it ended up with AARP representatives walking out: http://lonestartimes.com (scroll down to “Wackjobs Attack AARP, by Shannon.”) Couldn’t take the heat, huh?
Well, here’s a somewhat neutral online poll, as to whether or not the town hall meetings disruptions of town halls hurt the democratic process.
You can vote one of three ways:
- “Yes, these kinds of protests stifle civil discussion and limit rather than promote an open exchange of ideas. It’s good to get involved, but everyone should have a chance to speak, not just shout each other down”;
- No, these protests contribute to the democratic process and allow average people a voice in the process. The Constitution protects our right to speak freely, and as Americans, we should all get involved”; or
- “I’m not sure. I think people should get involved, but if some of these disruptions are staged, there may not be a true, open exchange.”
Also, several-time Libertarian Party Presidential candidate Lyndon La Rouche answers Obama’s Challenge to an alternative for health care reform. He’s short, sweet and to-the-point, with a three-point plan:
1. “Eliminate HMOs;
2. Restore the previous health care programs; and
3. Sign a signal payer system as a supplementary system to assist in the implementation of the Hill-Bruckman System;
Then turn your attention to some of the other problems you’re not capable of solving.”
But, have heart, true Patriots. Word is slowly leaking out to too many sources that their counter-counter-attacks aren’t working.
Payback’s a b, huh, all you Neo-Cons, RHINOs and NWO luvers?
