Police use acoustic warfare to disperse crowds

In this AP story about the Group of 20 (G20) Summit last week, local Pittsburg PD justify using a Long Range Acoustic Device on protesters by saying, “those complaining about the device have probably exposed themselves to sounds nearly as loud at rock concerts, and for longer periods of time.”

Read for yourself and just mull it over or watch the You Tube video below, filmed independently of the AP story above. Notice how the local PD was also using tear gas, smoke bombs and hovering over the area with at least three helicopters, despite this being a very quiet and peaceable protest.  Nothing had been thrown, with the exception of what was thrown by PD at the protesters.
