Things are changing rapidly in the race for the GOP nomination for governor of Texas as the March 2nd primary approaches.  Not long ago, it looked like a typical two person race.  That’s no longer the case, as Debra Medina has come out of nowhere to mount a serious challenge to both Rick Perry and Kay Bailey Hutchison, and a vote for Medina would send a shock wave through both Austin and DC.  Medina is now in second place in some polls, so there is no way a vote for her is “wasted”.

She is a serious candidate deserving serious consideration by all who consider themselves conservatives.

Read below for my analysis of why every Rick Perry voter should consider switching their vote to Debra Medina.

Full report:

The Texas primaries are rapidly approaching, and as we get closer to the March 2nd date, the race for the GOP gubernatorial nomination has changed dramatically in just the past few weeks. Debra Medina, a virtual unknown in Texas, has come out of nowhere to throw a real monkey wrench into the race.  Late last year, her support Read the rest of this entry »

By William Beazley

The 2010 Texas Governor’s race is arguably the most influential race in America. Texas is the largest conservative leaning state in the union and this implies that if Texas sets a good example then states may be willing emulators.

I first met Debra back in 2007 while standing in for proper leadership of the grassroots movement in Beaumont. She gladly drove the long trek to help remedy our hopelessly deep ignorance of grass roots politics.

Though she was knowledgeable, it was clear that she was merely just one of us, not having anything remotely akin to political super powers or that larger-than-life verve politicians often have. The only thing obvious about her was her sincerity.

Hitler reacts to the news that Glenn Beck has created a new public relations debacle in Texas, that everyone in Texas owns guns and that’s why he never invaded Switzerland.

Q: In less than ten hours, how do you raise over $50,000 (via online, already in-the-bank donations, with more to come via paper check) and get over 1,000 new Facebook subscribers?

A: Go on internet show put on by loudmouthed, crocodile tear crying shill who pushes agenda of those with the most bucks.  Get asked a ”have you stopped beating your kid?” type of kamakazee question unrelated to office candidate is seeking.  Interviewer has a baited response he wants to get from candidate.  Interviewer says, “see, she just admitted she hasn’t stopped beating her kid!! She’s a horrid person!!”  Interviewer cuts off interviewee before she has a chance to tell interviewer she can’t answer the question as it was stated, since it’s a “have you stopped beating your kid?” question. Viewers/listeners see you for the bought-and-paid for shill you are.

Incumbent then mysteriously has a negative ad already recorded and robocalling registered voters, in an hour.

You as the interviewee, however, then get multiple standing ovations at a local function six hours later.  The audience calls  for bad interviewer’s head on a platter.

Watch the money roll in to the bank…  $20, $50, 100 at a time, much of it from new donors.  Some of those new donors tell their friends.  Counting up, $20,000, now $30,000 …. up to $50,000 now!! You have people calling their friends, those friends write checks and drop them in the mail. Ka-ching! $$ Ka-ching! $ Ka-ching…$$$$ Where will it stop!??

Thanks unmentioned, loudmouth, obnoxious, fake blonde hair, tan and crocodile tear crying shill!! Maybe we can use you again for our advantage?  You’re such a dear!

Donate to the Medina campaign here.  Spread the good word!

I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do
They’re really saying I love you.

I hear babies cry, I watch them grow
They’ll learn much more than I’ll never know
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
Yes I think to myself what a wonderful world.

When election time rolls around, we often don’t think of what it takes financially to get good, conservatives to the point where we have a choice to vote for them.  The big dogs have nearly unlimited treasure chests of “special interest groups” and corporate funding (through their well-paid CEOs, CFOs, their PR firms, etc.).  But what about “the little guy [or gal],” like Joe Petronis (U. S. Rep. CD 10), David Smith (U. S. Rep. CD 2), Bruce West (U.S. Rep. CD 8) or Mary Huls (Texas Rep. Dist. 129)?

So, today, Tuesday, February 2, 2010, is a “Constitutional, conservative, non-incumbent money bomb day” for those folks who don’t have the humongous war chests to get their names and faces out there!!

Please visit their respective donation links:

Joe Petronis (CD 10)
David Smith (CD 2) — (Donation link is on upper right side, near the top)
Bruce West (U.S. CD 8) — (Scroll to about half-way down, center of page to get donation link)
Mary Huls (Texas Rep. Dist. 129)

So, if you are able please contribute today to help elect these freedom-loving candidates and champions of liberty.  Or, if you have another Constitutionally-oriented, conservative candidate in mind, please donate generously to him or her at this time.  Reach into your pockets, be a patriot and elect a freedom lover in the upcoming Republican Primaries or in the General Election for Libertarians!! We thank you for your time in promoting the message of liberty!
