TEST YOUR KNOWLEDGE OF THESE THREE HOUSTON-AREA CONGRESSMAN.

BUT NO MATTER HOW MANY YOU GUESS CORRECTLY,
IF THESE GUYS KEEP GETTING ELECTED, WE ALL LOSE!!!!

This Congressman, Rep. _(1)_,  is on the Committee of Foreign Affairs but yet said and held the outward opinion until recently “there is little that can be done about the border situation.”  Mexican military units have been as far as 30 mi. inland in the U S and have fired upon residential neighborhoods on American soil and also upon Border Patrol agents.  [View video from of “border incursions” here, first video in the list, about half-way down the page.]

This Congressman voted for the renewal of the Patriot Act (H R 3961), which now “gives permission” to the federal government to snoop into your medical records without a warrant and for causes unrelated to any ongoing criminal investigation (i.e., whenever a government bureaucrat wants to and thinks you’re up to no damn good!!)  His last name is alphabetically the first Rep. of this horrid trio.  [See Roll Call Vote for H R 3961.]  He is Rep. _(2)_.

This Congressman also voted for the renewal of the Patriot Act (H R 3961), which now “gives permission” to the federal government to snoop into your medical records without a warrant and for causes unrelated to any ongoing criminal investigation (i.e., whenever a government bureaucrat wants to and thinks you’re up to no damn good!!)  His last name is alphabetically the second Rep. of this horrid trio. [See Roll Call Vote for H R 3961.]  He is Rep. _(3)_.

[See Roll Call Vote for H R 3961 and an additional article about him.] He is Rep. _(4)_.

This Rep. said at the Tuesday, March 31st meeting of the King Street Patriots (Houston TX) that “there are things in the ‘health care bill’ that we do like.”  This statement was greeted with loud shouts of “NO! NO!!”  Apparently, we need to ask this Congressman, Rep. _(5)_, what parts of the health care bill he likes and wants to keep and WHY?!?

This Rep. petitioned the White House for approximately $3 Bil., partially for NASA funding, then voted against it when the NASA funding was combined in the “stimulus package,” (H. R. 1, American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009).  This Congressman also criticized it publicly.  In fact, he drafted and circulated the letter to the Obama administration. [See also: articles here and here.]  I am Rep. _(6)_.

This Rep. also petitioned the White House for approximately $3 Bil., partially for NASA funding, then voted against it when the NASA funding was combined in the “stimulus package,” (H. R. 1, American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009).  This Congressman also criticized it publicly and he is on the US House’s Subcommittee for Space and Aeronautics.  [See: article here.]  I am Rep. _(7)_.

This Congressman, Rep. _(8)_, was arrested for drunk driving on October 7, 2005, in Clay County, SD.  Rep. _(9)_ had a BAC of .08, “legally intoxicated” in South Dakota.  The drunken Rep’s longtime buddy, Rep. _(10)_, has come out publicly in support of his old drunk buddy for drunken Rep.’s re-election bid. [See: articles here and here.]

This good ole’ boy, Rep. _(11)_, was a criminal court judge known for his “creative sentencing.” He often made drunk drivers who were arrested (but did not injure or kill anyone) wear signs around their necks or carry signs that said “I drove drunk on {date} on this road.  Watch out for me.”  This former criminal court judge turned U S Rep was prominently featured in an online magazine, Driven, in the Spring of 2002, on MADD’s website.  This article, Sentence Structure, praised him for his tough stance on drunk drivers and creative sentencing.

Now, will the drunk driving Rep. _(12)_ carry a sign or will the former judge turned Rep. _(13)_ disown his buddy for his transgressions??  I mean, after all, the drunk-driving Rep., _(14)_, did pay a $400 fine levied by Clay County Judge Mary Dell Cody.  Rep. _(15)_ pled no lo contedere (no contest) to the charges on Tuesday, November 8, 2005. [See: article here.] …

Apparently, the old fart that pled guilty to drunk driving had to have a girl open up a can of “what for” during a meeting when one of the drunk driving Congressman’s challengers called a spade a spade _(16)_.

Congressman _(17)_, in the late 1980s self-flagellated in front of fellow congregants by admitting to an extramarital affair after being threatened by his church elders with expulsion from that Church of Christ.  He was caught by those same elders in a situation with an unmarried woman at my church. [See: article here.]  He soon thereafter left that Church of Christ and went to another Church of Christ in his Congressional District.  To this day, this Congressman has refused to confirm or deny the account, saying as far as he’s concerned his private life is not a campaign issue.
