The Honorable Rick Perry
Governor of the State of Texas
P.O. Box 12428
Austin, Texas 78711-2428

Dear Governor Perry:

If you are willing, there is still time to enact legislation to protect the dignity of travelers in Texas. Egregious intrusive searches without probable cause continue every day by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Texans and indeed Americans around this nation are fed up with this out of control federal bureaucracy that has promulgated practices that violate the 4th Amendment and that treat grandmothers, the handicapped, Iraqi war veterans with prosthetic limbs, boys, girls and infants as criminal suspects-touching their private parts as a condition of travel.

You write in your book, Fed Up, that you want to “help foster a nationwide conversation about the role of government in our lives” (Fed Up, 187). I can think of no role less suitable for our federal government than that of routinely violating innocent citizens of this state and those of the entire country.

This is done with some marginal language, but it is clearly an attempt to reach the average novice with concepts that are rarely clear to the masses… This video has been removed from many different locations on You Tube and other websites, but if you see it, you’ll know why…. The “powers-that-be” surely don’t want the word getting out to any more receptive audiences!!!!

[original Prison Planet.com article here]

Law enforcement across the country are being educated that informed Americans who know their rights are dangerous and that cops are their enemy.

Police Trained Nationwide That Informed Americans Are Domestic Terrorists 130309top

A secret report distributed by the Missouri Information Analysis Center lists Ron Paul supporters, libertarians, people who display bumper stickers, people who own gold, or even people who fly a U.S. flag and equates them with radical race hate groups and terrorists. This is merely the latest example in an alarming trend which confirms that law enforcement across the country is being trained that American citizens are a dangerous enemy.

A copy of the MIAC report was sent to us by two Missouri police officers who were concerned by its content.1

Perhaps due to the outlandish and shocking nature of the document, some people are still having difficulty believing it is real. Unfortunately, we have confirmed that it’s 100 per cent genuine. We spoke with Capt Hull at the Missouri State Highway Patrol who told us that the MIAC Strategic Report is a part “normal operation for officers” to receive these periodic reports for “safety purposes and to track trends or changes”. Hull added that the report was for the purposes of training their officers.

Anyone still in doubt as to the veracity of the document can call the MIAC toll free at 866-362-6422 and confirm it for themselves.

For crying out loud!! One generation of whiney, snot-nose brat begat yet another. While I’m no fan of McD’s or other “fast food,” who the hell holds the wallet containing the cash or debit card? Mom or the three-year-old?

So that she doesn’t have to hear her kid whining at home or in the car–not that hot tea burned her kid’s lips or that there was a dead mouse’s in her kid’s cheeseburger or that there were peanuts in an ice cream dish that was labelled “peanut-free”–Ms Parham decided her ONLY recourse was to sue McD’s?? I.e., whining in front of a judge and possibly a jury, taking up  about McD’s making her kid whine in front of her?? WTH?

Someone call Nanny Jo on Momma Parham, PLEASE!! And I hope Ms Parham loses her case and McD’s gets damages against her for filing a frivlous lawsuit.

From a Findlaw.com article:

Is this the first lawsuit brought about by whining? A suit has been filed in San Francisco superior court over Happy Meals. After laws passed by Santa Clara County and San Francisco, California, placing limits on fast food meals marketed to children, a private citizen has taken matters into her own hands.

Sacramento mother Monet Parham, represented by Center for Science in the Public Interest, has sued McDonald’s for false advertising and unfair competition, claiming the restaurant chains’ practice of giving away toys with Happy Meals is deceptive to children.

TRENTON— Senator Michael J. Doherty (R-Hunterdon, Warren) and Senator James Beach (D-Camden) today announced they will present resolutions to the Senate and Assembly calling on the U.S. Congress to end TSA screening procedures requiring full body scans and pat downs at U.S. airports Their action comes in response to widespread concerns over privacy and radiation, as well as reports of inappropriate conduct by TSA agents during the screening process.

“The pursuit of security should not force Americans to surrender their civil liberties or basic human dignity at a TSA checkpoint,” said Doherty. “Subjecting law-abiding American citizens to naked body scans and full body pat downs is intolerable, humiliating, vulnerable to abuse, and is fast becoming a disincentive to travel. Particularly concerning to us is the fact that physical searches result in children being touched in private areas of the body. Terrorists hate America because of the freedoms upon which this great nation was built. By implementing these screening measures, the TSA has already handed a victory to those who seek to destroy our freedoms.”

Origina music and lyrics by “Buck Howdy.”

Help You Make it to Your Flight

Take the ribbon from your hair
Shake it loose and let it fall
Leave your shoes right over there.
…Now…
GET UP AGAINST THE WALL!

I’ll run my hands inside your thighs,
Up your legs and out of sight
But you can trust the TSA
To help you make it to your flight.

We don’t profile that’d be wrong
Just ask the A.C.L.U.
We’d rather check your nooks & crannies
And every inch of you.

I’ve got no life except my job,
I don’t mind it, it’s alright,
I get to grope you legally
If you wanna take a flight

This badge and uniform we wear
Well, it might look like a rent-a-cop
But your life is in our hands
We like it that way
‘Specially if you’re hot!

It’s awful lonely being me
No girlfriend, boyfriend, husband, wife
So let me squeeze you
OOoo, right THERE!
If you wanna take a flight
You can trust the TSA
You’ll be in our dreams tonight!
Mmmm-hmmmm!

By Benito SegoviaProtester holds sign "Smile! You're on a Homeland Security Camera"

HOUSTON TX – Just days after more than 70 red-light cameras were turned off thanks to a voter mandate, the Department of Homeland Security announced that it will be installing “250 to 300 cameras at downtown intersections in an effort to prevent and fight terrorism and crime.”

Although the timing of this announcement was likely coincidental, it couldn’t look worse for city officials. Almost immediately after a public mandate that such cameras be removed, DHS swoops in to install hundreds more.

While it is still unclear when the original red-light cameras are going to be removed, more than 50 DHS cameras have already been installed, with many more scheduled for installation this summer. The cameras are currently installed around the George R. Brown convention center, Discovery Green Park, the theater district and Minute Maid Park.

Big Brother at Home

The camera footage can be monitored in real-time from multiple locations. This is touted as way to allow police to monitor events remotely instead of staffing events in-person. (It has yet to be seen if this high-tech measure will reduce the cost of city security fees and permits for those holding such events.)

This measure has received opposition from both privacy advocates and budget hawks. Privacy advocates oppose the move because it would give the State an unprecedented look into the daily goings-on of average citizens. While others counter that there is no expectation of privacy in pubic places.

Incrementalism and The New Surveillance Society

Barry Klein, long-time Houston property rights and liberty activist, argued that the cameras would move citizens “deeper into the world of the surveillance society.”  His point is well taken.

In the UK where citizens are accustomed to 24/7 surveillance measures, horrifying levels of privacy invasion are becoming more common. Last July Read the rest of this entry »

With all the naked viewing and groping going on, I wonder if this is the United States of America or the back room of an adult video store.  We have two major problems here, the TSA and their intrusive unconstitutional invasions of our rights, and the bigger question of why are we turning into a police state.

Let’s start with the TSA.  How many passengers have I seen interviewed on TV who all share the notion that “If it makes us safer then I think it is a good idea. I just want to get to my destination in one piece.”  Not only does this presume that the government is more capable at assuring safety than private citizens, but it also illustrates an alarming trend in this country where we have become willing to so easily trade freedom for the illusion of safety (or prosperity, or charity).
