(CNSNews.com) – The 86thcongressional district of Rhode Island received $10.2 million in federal economic stimulus funds to save 57.9 jobs, according to Recovery.gov. In neighboring Connecticut, the state’s 42nd congressional district did not receive any stimulus money yet 25 jobs were still saved or created.

The problem with these federal financial data, however, is that Rhode Island has just two congressional districts, not 86, and Connecticut has just five U.S. House seats, not 42. Also, the Web site states that $6.4 billion in stimulus money went to 440 congressional districts that do not exist, according to an analysis first reported by Watchdog.org, a division of the Franklin Center for Government and Public Integrity.

The watchdog’s analysis showed that the money invested in the non-existent congressional districts saved or created 30,000 jobs, based on the government data currently available to the public.

Recovery.gov is the Obama administration’s Web site designed to track the funds dispersed through the $787 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.

Concerning the non-existent congressional districts and other data on Recovery.org, the Obama administration responded on Tuesday that it was a matter of kinks in the system and that all stimulus funds are traceable and documented.

“These are not non-existent congressional districts, these are improperly identified congressional districts,” Ed Pound, spokesman for the Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board, told CNSNews.com Tuesday. “It’s human error. People filling out these forms might not know their district.”

This is a very interesting cartoon from 1948.  Still very relevant today and is especially chilling in parts, especially when they talk about how the ISM just wants to divide & conquer by playing the race, age, sex, religion and party cards…

Pay close attention to some of the comments.  Many give a good plan of action for righting the direction we’re headed…  and follow the parallels for today’s political climate.

A key congressional panel on Thursday approved legislation introduced by the Texas congressman that – for the first time in the central bank’s 95-year-history — would require government audits of Federal Reserve monetary policy, as well as how much the central bank has lent and will lend to specific banks.

Fed Chief Ben Bernanke and other key members of the Obama administration, including Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, had vigorously opposed the move.

The measure was approved by the House Financial Services Committee as it considered broad bank regulatory reform legislation, and included a package of other measures weakening the Fed’s power and capping how much it can lend or guarantee.

The committee is now poised to pass the entire bill and has scheduled its final vote on the legislation for December 1.

Rep. Jack Murtha (D, CD 12-Johnstown, PA) did not hear the “NAYs”  clearly being louder than the “AYEs.”

This is the same 19th-termer Rep. Murtha who has his own $200,000,000.00 John Murtha Johnstown-Cambria County Airport, which sees on any given day, only about 80 passengers.  That’s right, eighty, not 80,000 or even 800. Oh, and the airport just got an $800,000.00 stimulus bonus.

This crook HAS TO GO!!

However, all you WI residents, I applaud James Sensenbrenner (R, CD 5-Brookfield, Waukesha WI)… We need more representatives like him in office! Make sure Sensenbrenner gets back in!

Hop on over to The Who’s Next Project’s website and vote for your candidate for Texas Governor, U S CDs 2, 10, 29 and more.

The Who’s Next? Project offers an opportunity for We the People to elect people we know.  Those who will work for us, NOT Special Interests, Political Parties, or fat re-election campaign fund checks.

We’ve held Tea Parties, gone to Town Hall Meetings, stood together In Protest at historic 9-12 Events, and both called and sent emails to elected politicians. And they STILL haven’t gotten the message. So be it.

The Who’s Next? Project is the next step.

We will take back our government at every level.   From our City Councils and School Boards, to the Texas Legislature and the Governor’s Office,  all the way up to the  Senate, the House of Representatives and the Presidency of the United States.

We are looking for citizen representatives: our neighbors.  People we know, not mainstream politicians.

We, who pay for everything, and yet don’t get invited into the conversation as to how Our Money is spent… why those laws are passed, and who actually benefits from those laws, because it isn’t Us… and it should be.

A Government Of, For, and By The People should pass laws, and pursue policies that benefit The People… and that is what we will have.

And so the most important part of The Who’s Next? Project is what we save for last.  A simple question: Is it YOU?

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) (AP Photo/Lauren Victoria Burke)

(CNSNews.com) – When CNSNews.com asked House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Thursday where the Constitution authorized Congress to order Americans to buy health insurance–a mandate included in both the House and Senate versions of the health care bill–Pelosi dismissed the question by saying: “Are you serious? Are you serious?”

Pelosi’s press secretary later responded to written follow-up questions from CNSNews.com by emailing CNSNews.com a press release on the “Constitutionality of Health Insurance Reform,” that argues that Congress derives the authority to mandate that people purchase health insurance from its constitutional power to regulate interstate commerce.

The exchange with Speaker Pelosi on Thursday [October 22nd] occurred as follows:

CNSNews.com: “Madam Speaker, where specifically does the Constitution grant Congress the authority to enact an individual health insurance mandate?”

Pelosi: “Are you serious? Are you serious?”

CNSNews.com: “Yes, yes I am.”

Pelosi then shook her head before taking a question from another reporter. Her press spokesman, Nadeam Elshami, then told CNSNews.com that asking the speaker of the House where the Constitution authorized Congress to mandated that individual Americans buy health insurance as not a ”serious question.”

“You can put this on the record,” said Elshami. “That is not a serious question. That is not a serious question.”

ACTION:  Call, fax or send a postcard to your U.S. Rep.  Don’t email!! (Most don’t keep e-mail, as they’re not legally bound to do so!!) Or better yet, stop by his/her local office.  They must log in visitors, so you can’t be ignored there. Tell him/her you DEMAND that they not vote to end the “Audit the Fed” legislation.  Tell him/her you demand the language be re-instated, as it had been written, or you will campaign with every breath in your body to get them out of office!! [Find your U. S. Rep. here, on upper left side.]

Oct. 30 (Bloomberg) — Representative Ron Paul, the Texas Republican who has called for an end to the Federal Reserve, said legislation he introduced to audit monetary policy has been gutted while moving toward a possible vote in the Democratic-controlled House.

The bill, with 308 co-sponsors, has been stripped of provisions that would remove Fed exemptions from audits of transactions with foreign central banks, monetary policy deliberations, transactions made under the direction of the Federal Open Market Committee and communications between the Board, the reserve banks and staff, Paul said today.

Theres nothing left, its been gutted, he said in a telephone interview. This is not a partisan issue. People all over the country want to know what the Fed is up to, and this legislation was supposed to help them do that.

Washington, D.C. - Congressman Kevin Brady (R-TX), the lead House Republican on the Joint Economic Committee, today unveiled a detailed flow chart of the complex health care reform proposal by Democratic congressional leaders.

The chart identifies at least 31 new federal programs, agencies, commissions and mandates that accompany the unprecedented government takeover of health care in America.

Fellow Patriots,

I spoke with Culberson’s office regarding his comments on Edd Hendee’s radio show Thursday morning in Houston. He was speaking about a sneaky plan to pass government-run healthcare.
A copy of their emailed response and other comments from him are posted here

It appears that regardless of what we think, say, or DO, the senate plans to attach the two committees combined efforts to some simple bill (i.e. TARP salaries) w/60 votes- after it’s passed so they can vote it through – in attachments – with only 51 votes. We need to MELT every phone/email/fax line once they pass the ‘carrier’ legislation and before they pass the amended TROJAN HORSE.

Here you can find all of the Senators’ contact info here, then click on a state.

We have two sample letters (one directed at the democrats and one directed at the republicans) posted here.

Here are links to articles that can explain it better than I. (The one from Heritage is my favorite.)

Neo-CONNED is a speech Ron Paul gave on the house floor July 10, 2003. This is very important as it goes over many aspects of the upcoming Iraq war and the following years of the Bush presidency.  [The original video from C-Span is here.  I received the link to the video and the text of the speech separately.] … “Let it not be said that no one cared, that no one objected once it’s realized that our liberties and wealth are in jeopardy….”

The modern-day limited-government movement has been co-opted.  The conservatives have failed in their effort to shrink the size of government. There has not been, nor will there soon be, a conservative revolution in Washington. Party control of the federal government has changed, but the inexorable growth in the size and scope of government has continued unabated. The liberal arguments for limited government in personal affairs and foreign military adventurism were never seriously considered as part of this revolution.

Since the change of the political party in charge has not made a difference, who’s really in charge? If the particular party in power makes little difference, whose policy is it that permits expanded government programs, increased spending, huge deficits, nation building and the pervasive invasion of our privacy, with fewer Fourth Amendment protections than ever before?
