When you join the Houston Area Liberty Campaign, there will be several ways you can take action depending on what type of activity best fits you.
How HALC is Organized
Per our bylaws our organization is broken into an Executive Committee and three Action Groups that perform related, yet separate functions. This was done to extend our effectiveness in promoting positive change toward meeting our stated goals.

Executive Committee
Our Executive Committee consists of our Chairman, Vice Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary and three At-Large Positions. The purpose of the Executive Committee is to oversee enterprise-wide functions and act as a directional guide. However, because this organization belongs to the members, our bylaws have been purposely written to limit the power of the Executive Committee giving much more operational control to the Action Groups.
Party Coordination
Party Coordination is where HALC members interested in working with local Political Parties can invest their time. This group’s primary function is to work with political parties to enhance receptiveness to our stated goals of restoring Constitutional Government and individual liberties.
Since political parties and their activities influence much of our local and national policies, it is important to be part of their internal processes.
Community Outreach and Education
In response to being asked at the close of the Constitutional Convention of 1787, “What have you given us?” Benjamin Franklin replied, “A republic, if you can keep it.”
So much of the violence done to our Constitution and Individual Liberties can be directly linked to the general apathy and lack of knowledge on the part of our fellow citizens. The Community Outreach and Education Action Group helps to educate the public on the message of freedom.
Elections
All the education and political influence in world can only take us so far. To restore our Republic we must have sympathizers of the Constitution elected to local and national office.
This is where the Elections Action Group comes into play. Members of this Action Group train for and execute on political elections. Block walking, sign waving and politicking are just a few of the many activities Election’s members may find themselves in.
